Comparison of Carrera (left) and Monza (right)

Heuer introduced the autmatic Carreras in 1972, and produced these models until the mid-1980's. In 1977, Heuer introduced the Monza, a model that used the same basic case and movement as the Monza, but with a unique black chrome case.

Although the Carrera and Monza appear to be similar, the following comparison shows that, in fact, the construction and value of the two models varied considerably. Currently (2003), in the vintage market, the Monzas sell for considerably less than the comparble Carreras.
