On December 6, 2024, as part of its “Important Watches” auction in New York City, Sotheby’s will conduct its “Heuer Champions” auction.  There will be 38 Heuer chronographs, stopwatches and other timepieces included in the Heuer Champions auction, including one of the Heuer Monaco chronographs worn by Steve McQueen in the filming of Le Mans (1970).

Sotheby’s has published a special catalog covering the 38 lots included in the Heuer Champions sale.  With photographs and detailed descriptions covering all 38 lots, the Heuer Champions catalog will become a valuable reference for vintage Heuer enthusiasts, offering some interesting insights into the development of the Heuer brand in the 1960s and 70s, and some excellent information about specific chronographs and other timepieces.
