Heuer produced the Autavia chronograph from 1962 through 1986, having produced the Autavia dashboard timer from 1933 through 1958. The name "Autavia" indicated that this chronograph was desiged for timing Automobile and Aviation events. TAG-Heuer will re-issue an Autavia chronograph and dashboard timer (in a limited edition) during 2003.
