Heuer introduced the Kentucky chronograph in 1977, using the Valjoux 7750 movement. The name "Kentucky" name is likely to refer to the location of America's most famous horse race, the Kentucky Derby. The hallmark of the Kentucky was its integrated bracelet. Later versions used quartz and LCD technology.
